Nourishing Tea Recipe

I’m so loving this nourishing tea recipe. The herbs I chose for this blend offer medicinal properties that can assist the body in staying in balance throughout the winter season. Plus, it tastes DElicious!

Ingredients:

2 cups water

11/2 teaspoons of dried chamomile flowers

2 teaspoons dried green tea

1 1/2 teaspoon dried elderberries

1-2 teaspoons raw honey

Empty tea bag or loose tea infuser

Add 2 cups of water to a small pan, bring to a boil. Remove from heat, stir in honey, add tea blend. Allow to steep 30 minutes minimum. I usually let my mixture steep 1 hour at room temperature.

Remove the tea infuser. This tea is delicious hot or cold. Be sure to allow mixture to reach room temperature before placing in the refrigerator.

* You can also use 2 teabags of each tea in place of the loose tea.

* The dried elderberries can be purchased online or at a local health food store.

*This recipe is not your typical cup of tea recipe. The ratios used were to create a more concentrated recipe.

Although, not quite as strong as an herbal infusion, yet much stronger than a regular cup of tea.

I prefer to have mine chilled, unless I'm already chilled, then warmed is sooo much better. I usually drink about 2 oz once a day throughout the winter season for immunity support.

If I’m starting to feel low energy or have been around someone who has been sick, then I will enjoy an 8 ounce cup of warm tea.
