Food For The Skin

When I have fresh fruit and certain fresh veggies, I like to set aside a small portion of each for creating an organic, all natural face mask. This time it’s mango, cucumber, lemon and oats.

In a small blender I added a 3” cucumber chunk, with the skin. One 1/2” slice of fresh mango, One 1/2” slice fresh lemon, and 1/8 cup of oats.

Blend until smooth and creamy. Add more oats if the mixture isn’t thick enough. I like my mixture to be thick enough to stay on a spoon when turned upside down. Pour into a small bowl, cover and refrigerate until chilled.

Using a spoon, scoop out a small amount; using your fingertips, apply in a circular motion onto your clean ( no makeup ) face. Repeat until your face is completely covered with the mixture.

Allow to dry. Depending on how thick you apply the mixture, this could take 15-30 minutes to completely dry; gently remove with warm water and a washcloth.

Dry your face with a soft towel, then apply your favorite skin cream or skin oil.
