Turmeric Tincture



I finally got my batch of turmeric tincture made. 🧡

The list of turmerics healing properties are quite impressive. One of them being a powerful anti-inflammatory.

Inflammation is not all bad. It's just one of many ways our body protects it's self from viruses, harmful bacteria and other foreign invaders. 

It's when it turns into chronic inflammation which then creates an imbalance within the body -which can lead to many health issues such as;

diabetes, heart disease 

kidney disease, liver disease 

cancers, stroke

autoimmune disease 

arthritis, eczema

psoriasis 

A few causes of chronic inflammation are smoking, stress, excessive alcohol consumption, and the biggie - diet. 

There are several ways to incorporate turmeric in the diet to help reduce inflammation; capsules, powders, fresh root, and of course, turmeric tincture! What are your favorite ways to add turmeric to your diet? 

* There are drug interactions to check into before using turmeric on a regular basis for healing; blood thinning medicines, aspirin, medications for stomach acid issues, certain diabetes medications and blood pressure medications. 

The body has difficulty absorbing turmeric. Black pepper contains a compound called piperine.

This compound increases the body's ability to absorb turmeric. So when adding turmeric to your diet don't forget the black pepper.
